Dear Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs,

　　To better serve Beijing’s external trade development and establish a growing reputation of “Beijing Innovation” and “Beijing Service”, it is important to build up a new platform of exchange and cooperation for the global marketing of Beijing products. In order to promote the scientific, technological and cultural innovation, accelerate the transformation and upgrading of the trading products of Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs, the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, together with the Department of Economy and Science of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council, Beijing Municipal Commission of Commerce, Zhongguancun Management Committee, Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area, Beijing Investment Promotion Bureau and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Beijing Sub-council (CCPIT Beijing), will hold the 2012 Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs Beijing Conference in the National Aquatic Centre (Water Cube) from May 27 to 30.

　　2012 Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs Beijing Conference is one of the feature events which the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality organizes to capitalize on its strength in overseas Chinese affairs in the interest of Beijing’s economic and social development. The conference has been held for two consecutive years. This year, the theme of the conference is “Led by Science and Technology and Created in Beijing through Win-Win Cooperation”.

　　The general arrangements are as follows: May 27, registration; May 28, Opening Ceremony of the 1st China (Beijing) International Fair for Trade in Services, business sessions, and welcome dinner; May 29, Opening Ceremony of 2012 Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs Beijing Conference, sessions introducing high-tech products, exhibition of products, and business meetings; May 30, conclusion of the conference and departure of participants. 　　During the conference, there will be about 100 key Beijing enterprises participating as exhibitioners, covering the fields such as electronic information, new energy, equipment engineering, biomedicine, instrumentation, urban industry, cultural creative industries, overseas project contracting, etc. Major products to be exhibited are featured by high-tech contents with proprietary intellectual property rights.

　　We sincerely invite the interested Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs with strong purchasing demand to attend the conference, and hope to involve more overseas Chinese businesspersons, who have the purchasing will in Beijing products, with your help of sharing this information.

　　The participants of the Conference will be selected based on applicants’ fields of trading and target import products and invitation letters will be sent.

　　In addition, we encourage the participation of overseas Chinese entrepreneurs who have the capacity and intention to export to China, which will benefit the all-round and balanced development of external trade.

　　Participants’ accommodation during the conference will be at the expense of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality.
